Assign competencies to a job role
You can assign competencies and grades to a job role to define the skills and skill levels required by a user with that role. For example, the “Human Resources Manager” job role may require the competency “Managing Change”, at grade “7”. You can use the job role competency assignments to produce a skill gap analysis for users with that role.

To
view the competency assignments for a job role, click Competency
on the contents menu to display the “Competency Assignments”
page. The page lists all the competencies that are required for
the job role, and shows the minimum grade that is required.
To edit the grade for a competency assignment, click Edit next to the competency title. Select the new grade from the drop down list, and click Save to save it.
To assign a new competency to the job role, click Edit at the bottom of the page to show the list of available competencies. The page shows all the competencies defined in the Learning Management System, with a check box to show the competencies that are currently assigned to the job role. Current competency assignments appear at the top of the list.
To assign a competency to a job role, tick the check box next to the competency title. To remove a competency, clear the check box. Click Submit to save the new competency assignments, or Return to return to the current competency assignments.
