Accreditation assignment parameters

Each managed accreditation assignment has parameters that define what happens when the accreditation nears expiry. The primary use of this is to notify one or more people that an accreditation is expiring so that it can be renewed.

To edit the parameters for an accreditation, click Edit next to the accreditation title for a managed accreditation to show the “Accreditation Parameters” page.

The page shows user and accreditation summary information, and the current status. If the status is “Complete”, the date the accreditation was achieved is also shown.

You can enter comments for this accreditation assignment, which are stored in the accreditation record.

If the accreditation does not contain any review elements, you can mark the accreditation as complete and enter the date it was completed.

If the accreditation status is “Complete”, the expiry date is completed according to the default expiry date for the accreditation. Normally, only an administrator can modify the expiry date. You can change this by giving the access permission “Admin.Users.Accreditations.Edit.ExpiryDate” to other Learning Management System roles.

The Notifications list shows all the users that will receive notification when the accreditation expires. Initially, this list contains only the user assigned to the accreditation, but it can contain any user within the Learning Management System. Each user on the notification list can receive notification at different times.

To add or remove users from the notification list, click Edit below the list to show the list of available users. The page shows all users defined in the Learning Management System, with a check box to show the current user assignments (which appear at the top of the list).

To add a user to the notification list, tick the check box next to the user’s name. To remove a user, clear the check box. Click Submit to save the new user assignments, or Return to return to the “Accreditation Parameters” page.

When you add a user to the notification list, they get the default notification period of “1 month”. To change this, click Edit next to the user’s name, and select a new duration and period from the drop down lists. Click Save to save the new notification period.

Click Submit to store the accreditation parameters, or Return to return to the current accreditation assignments. Click Delete to delete this accreditation assignment.
