Adding Animations

To add an animation, click on the ‘Animatn Cel’ option from the Author Mode toolbox.  Click on to the page where you want the animation to appear.  An Image Library dialogue box will appear, prompting you to either select images from the Library, or Import files from another location on your hard drive or Network location.

Note:      Animations are a series of identically proportioned images.  Types allowed are Compuserve Graphics Interchange (*.GIF) and less commonly used, Joint Photographic Experts Group (*.JPG) types.

Animations will be ordered alphabetically when they play in sequence.  Ensure the images that make up your animation are named accordingly.

Click on images in the Library window to select them (holding down the SHIFT or CTRL keys to select multiple items in the list), and click ‘OK’ to bring the selected animation on to your page.

If the animation images you require are not already in the Library window, you will need to import them.  In this instance, click on the ‘Import file’ button in the Image Library dialogue box.  Locate the images you require and click ‘Open’.

The images will then be imported into the Image Library.  Select the images that make up your animation and click ‘OK’ to bring the selected animation on to your page.

The animation object may not appear exactly as you would like it to on the page.  Just as with an image object, you can set certain Animation Options, explained below.
