This is the fifth year of the TJ Awards and being short-listed for one of the awards is now nationally recognised as a mark of excellence in training. The entry is a finalist in the category for Best E-learning Programme. e2train worked in partnership with Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust to create an innovative, cost saving solution for their mandatory training. A series of bespoke e-learning courses were created to deliver statutory mandatory training in areas such as Health and Safety, Manual Handling and Infection Control. These modules dramatically reduced out-of-office time for hospital staff.
Explains Ed Iles, e-learning Project Manager for the Trust, 'The e-learning helped us to achieve 30,000 lesson completions in just the first five months. We liked the concept of 24/7 learning but never expected it to become a reality. But it did - staff have embraced the fact they can complete short sections of training and fit it around their working patterns.'
Rob Caul, Managing Director of e2train comments, 'We are delighted to be a finalist at the prestigious Training Journal awards. Working with the team at Gloucester Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust has been incredibly rewarding and the results so impressive that it is great to have the achievements recognised by the judging panel.'
The winners of the Training Journal award will be announced at the TJ Conference and Awards on Tuesday 21 September 2010. Click here to find out more.
