e2train, the leading UK based software company providing learning systems and solutions has expanded its third party software integration programs and consultancy solutions to enhance the way its Kallidus® Learning Management System integrates with HR Systems.
Kallidus LMS offers a full feature set for tracking, managing and reporting on all forms of training and is being used extensively by leading UK organisations who have seen the benefits of an easy to use, yet robust system that is a cost effective system.
Rob Caul, Managing Director said “With increasing numbers of clients wishing to utilise historical data stored on their HR systems, it has become vital that Kallidus LMS complements rather than compromises systems already in place. We have therefore added new programs and expertise to our project and consultancy teams to make this kind of implementation as straightforward and rich as possible”.
Kallidus LMS integration solutions enable it to link with both SQL and Oracle servers. Typically, integrations with SQL servers are achieved using data transformation services packages (DTS). Integrations with Oracle servers usually deploy Oracle jobs to schedule and run Oracle procedures to update the database.
Both solutions enable database queries to run automatically so that files can populate the LMS with user data such as names, titles, groups, job roles etc. Historical training records can also be easily read into the LMS, typically when the LMS is being introduced. Data can also easily be read back to a HR system to enable companies to record accreditations and other achievements with their personnel records. Kallidus LMS can also deploy web services and XML transfer to create a more dynamic integration with HR Systems.
Recent projects have integrated Kallidus LMS with HR systems from ORACLE HR, Peoplesoft HR, COMPEL, to Snowdrop and Northgate Empower. Integrations have been completed for leading organisations including O 2, BNFL, Leeds & Holbeck Building Society, Portman Building Society, the Charity Commission, Environment Agency, Slaughter and May, Yorkshire Building Society’s and West Mercia Police.
Looking to the future, Rob Caul added “successful integration with other systems ensures strong foundations for future releases of Kallidus LMS software. We work closely with our clients who enjoy a personal approach to customer care, and HR system integration has been one area that we have given particular attention to”
