Parity Training and e2train Limited partner to provide e-learning to The Charity Commission - 23.03.02

e2train, established provider of learning technologies, proudly announces that it has partnered with Parity Training - the UK's leading IT and management skills development specialists - to provide e- learning for The Charity Commission.

Learning content, provided by Parity, was formulated in to manageable chunks of learning, by e2train's content creation services. The content has been deployed using the Kallidus® Learning Management System, which provides the management, tracking and reporting of learning activity, in its entirety.

This collaboration, coupled with the provision of the Kallidus® Learning Management System by e2train, means that Charity Commission staff have been empowered to manage their own learning and development. They can access their own bank of learning on a whenever/wherever basis, resulting in learning that is 'just in time', rather than 'just in case'.

Eileen Westward, Head of Communications and Development at The Charity Commission, says: "Our staff need training in very specific and sometimes complex areas. We wanted to provide new and existing employees with instant access to specific Charity Commission training, when and where they needed it, rather than on terms dictated by course availability, location and venue."

Partnering with Parity Training, e2train installed its Kallidus® Learning Management System on to the Charity Commission's own servers and intranet. The Online learning activity of all employees could now be deployed, managed and reported on, at anytime. Furthermore, The LMS was branded to blend with the Charity Commission's own 'look and feel'.

Due to the specific and complex nature of Charity Commission training, there was a requirement that the Commission's subject matter experts and training personnel be competent in online lesson creation. e2train provided its user friendly Kallidus® Authoring System, as well as the training to meet this requirement. Furthermore, e2train's Content Creation team gave the Charity Commission a 'flying start' in the switch to e-learning, by converting over 30 training packs and induction modules into an online format. In addition, page templates were supplied to assist the Commission's staff in creating further lessons.

Commission training personnel quickly became fully competent in the creation of self- authored online lessons, following provision of the Kallidus® Authoring System and a simple training session by e2train's support team.

"Of course, traditional learning methods will never become redundant, and we will continue to use them where appropriate, only now supported by e-learning material which has been created entirely to meet our needs."

That's the beauty of the blended approach to learning.
