e2train the Cirencester based e-learning company continue to receive a stamp of approval for their Learning Management and Authoring Systems Kallidus® allowing three entirely different business environments to create, deploy and manage e-learning.
South Wales Police have installed the Kallidus® LMS and Authoring System, integrated with third-party e-learning content and Questionmark™ Perception, an advanced assessment tool. The recipients of home authored training will be both operational and support staff, however the LMS is being used to manage both off-the-shelf online training such as Microsoft and Project Management, as well as traditional police specific training, allowing management of classrooms, locations and equipment. Alun Williams of South Wales Police confirmed that e2train have given a service that “met our requirements with regards to timing, specifications and budget”.
On the other hand, e-learning crusader Colin Robinson at House of Fraser Group has opted for Kallidus® as a management system for Xebec and Harvard ManageMentor content. This is an ideal solution for an organisation that operates out of 48 stores and 3 HQ offices countrywide and ensures that employees can undergo learning without too many demands on their working day. With the authoring tool Colin is looking to keep employees abreast of current systems and processes including Oracle Finance. Learning will be deployed via their IPOS (Intranet Point of Sale) system. This is the roll-out of a pilot that took place in 2001 in conjunction with the former Xebec McGraw-Hill team. “e2train ensured business continuity and this was handled very smoothly by their support team, enabling us to finish what Xebec started”.
Carmarthenshire County Council opted for Kallidus® Learning Management System as a basis for offering ECDL training across the Council. It is part of an overall e-Government plan to increase the computer knowledge of some 2000 users across the authority by 2005. “e2train along with several other organisations were given the opportunity to make a bid for this provision and due to a number of factors such as cost, flexibility, ease of use and the inclusion of a design module meant e2train were successful in winning the contract”. Russell Symmons, Training Manager will also be using Kallidus® to manage a whole range of personal development training including Welsh language and induction.
All three organisations show that the Kallidus® suite of products perfectly complements the e-learning requirements of forward thinking organisations, enabling them to manage e-learning and integrate any SCORM or AICC compliant content to their e-learning and traditional training portfolio.
Rob Caul, Managing Director of e2train said “we are delighted that such a diverse group of companies is so positive about the benefits of using Kallidus®, whether to manage e-learning or to produce content in house”
